Spartan DEKA is the decathlon of hybrid fitness racing, featuring standardized and gamified fitness tests, designed to allow all levels the opportunity to compete. With over 1,000 events held worldwide each year, DEKA provides a platform to engage, train, and excel in a globally acknowledged sporting challenge. For their events, DEKA uses RACE RESULT active transponders to time the participants. RACE RESULT 12 software is used for race day check-in, scoring and online results.
Fitness racing is growing rapidly around the world, and accurate timing is key to delivering a fair and engaging experience. The RACE RESULT Active System uses ankle-worn transponders and compact wireless Loop Boxes to capture precise split times at each workout station, without the complexity of traditional systems. This makes it easy to scale timing across fitness race formats.

The participants wear an Active V3 transponder on their ankle. Typically, they have to complete various challenges, interrupted by a run.
A wire loop is taped to the ground at the start/finish and connected to the Ubidium timing system. If the participant crosses the loop, the time is taken.
Loop Boxes with wire loops are installed at the entrance and exit of each challenge area. The boxes send the transponder detections wirelessly to the Ubidium system in real time. A maximum of 7 Loop Boxes can transmit to the same Ubidium. You may need to integrate additional Ubidiums into your setup.
In RACE RESULT 12 you create an event file in which the participants must complete the various timimng points in the correct order. Ubidium transfers the data live to this file.
Optionally, the referees in the challenge areas can be equipped with tablets on which the check-in kiosk from RACE RESULT 12 is set up. In this way, they confirm that each participant has carried out the exercises correctly or distribute penalties if necessary. This data is also sent live in the event file.
Ubidium
The cutting-edge timing system designed for superior performance and versatility. Boasts exceptional weatherproofing, lightweight design, and up to 32 hours battery life. Data is transmitted in real-time through multiple options, including SIM, Ethernet, POE, or USB-C connections.
Loop Box
Easy and cost-effective way to collect splits times. At nearby timing points detections are repeated wirelessly to the main system. In case of remote timing points, the ActivePro Transponder saves the passing time and then transmits them when arriving at the finish. Integrated battery for 12-20 h.
ActivePro V3 Transponder
The most powerful active transponder on the market. With an outstanding accuracy of 0.004 seconds at speeds of up to 120 km/h, it is the ideal choice for most events. The guaranteed battery life of 5 years ensures reliable operation. Thanks to Tracking Mode and Store Mode, numerous split times can be recorded with minimal setup – unique in its class.

The complete software for timing and managing of any kind of sports event. The intuitive user interface allows you to setup events without complicated formulas or calculations. Featuring registration, event timing, scoring, live results and various output options in one browser-based solution.
