The renowned velodrome installed RACE RESULT hardware in 2024. Ubidium timing system is installed iunder the track, sending real-time data to a central server. RACE RESULR Active Transponders are mounted to the front bike fork of easch rider. "I genuinely think a lot of velodromes will need this system", says Chief Test Engineer Adam Bonser.
The RACE RESULT Active System delivers precise and reliable lap and split timing for track cycling. With fork-mounted Active Pro V3 transponders and wireless Loop Boxes, the system allows for up to 8 timing segments. Ideal for races and training analysis. Its compact hardware and flexible setup make it a perfect fit for both permanent and temporary velodrome installations.

Put the loop under the track. It is best to install an empty conduit for this so that you can replace the cable if in doubt, even if the space below the track is used for other purposes.
The ActivePro V3 Transponder is attached to the front fork of the bike. Use either the Active Chip Holder or simply cable ties.
The easiest way to evaluate the laps in training is with TrackTiming. Alternatively, and recommended for official competitions, use our RACE RESULT12 software, where timing can easily be carried out using the "lap race" template.

Loop Box (Optional)
Easy and cost-effective way to collect splits times. At nearby timing points detections are repeated wirelessly to the main system. In case of remote timing points, the ActivePro Transponder saves the passing time and then transmits them when arriving at the finish. Integrated battery for 12-20 h.
