Canada's largest 10k road race since its inception in 1985 and one of the largest 10k in North America. In 2022, more than 20,000 runners took place. The race is timed by Sportstats using the RACE RESULT Passive System. They use the Foldable Ground Antenna at start and finish and add a backup timing line at both.
The RACE RESULT UHF timing system is the smart choice for timing companies and race organizers at 5K, 10K, and other road running events.
With disposable chips on bibs, it ensures high read rates and precise results. The foldable ground antenna allows for fast setup and easy handling—making race day smooth and efficient.

For a small race, one single Passive System is absolutely sufficient. If start and finish are at the same place, chip times can be taken. Otherwise, you will record gun times (don't worry, a few hundred participants cross the start line within a few seconds anyway). Alternatively, you can also rent a second system for the start.
Unfold the ground antenna at the timing point and connect it to Ubidium. All finish times will be automatically sent to the timing software on your laptop via Ethernet, WiFi or mobile network.
In RACE RESULT 12 software, use the template "Standard Event". This template is the perfect starting point and may already bring all you need.

Ubidium Foldable Ground Antenna
Delivers unprecedented flexibility and the highest detection rates. Each element contains a specially developed RACE RESULT UHF reader. The mat connects directly to Ubidium. It can be adjusted in length as desired, up to 23 meters per system (30 segments).
Bib with Transponder
UHF transponders specially developed for sports timekeeping. Praised by customers worldwide for highest detection rates. The accuracy is 0.2 s. Transponders are available on roll or ready-attached to a customized, personallized Tyvek bib.
